September 14th's California recall election has top Democrats such as Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Amy Klobuchar scrambling to campaign for Gavin Newsom as the polls are within the margin of error. Has the emergence of Larry Elder, a black conservative candidate running to replace Newsom, woken California voters up to the idea that freedom and competition are the recipes for opportunity? Newsom's policies have led California to the second-highest unemployment rate in the country, and voters will have the opportunity to reject the status-quo on Tuesday.
