from Kan English · host כאן | Kan
The IDF hit the Abu al-Duhur military air base in northern Syria last week after it received intelligence that Turkey was seeking to station a radar and an air defense system manned by Turkish troops there. U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack, said the Israeli strike could have triggered a direct confrontation with Turkey, accusing Israel of "baiting the Turks." After a series of mutual accusations between the countries, Turkey requested an Interpol Red Notice against PM Netanyahu for “genocide” in connection with the Gaza flotilla affair. Netanyahu responded in a statement from his office. “Israel has long since ceased to be impressed by Turkey’s hypocrisy,” he said. “Erdoğan is an antisemitic dictator who has massacred Kurds, supports Hamas’ massacre and oppresses his own people.
