Have you ever thought something was the enemy, only to find out later you were completely wrong? But how often do we think we know who the enemy is, only to find out we’ve been fighting the wrong battle? It’s so easy to do, isn’t it? We can get laser-focused on one thing, convinced it’s the source of all our problems, but later realize we missed what was really going on. And let’s be honest—especially during a crazy political season like we are in right now, it’s easy to think we’ve identified the enemy. We point fingers at people, parties, and candidates, and we get fired up thinking they’re the reason for everything that’s wrong in the world. But what if we’ve been fighting the wrong battle? What if the real enemy isn’t who we think it is? In this sermon, we kick off a brand-new two-week series called "The Church and Politics." We’re taking a two week pause from our verse by verse study of Acts, and we’re exploring the deeper truths of what’s really going on in the midst of all the political noise. In this sermon, we take a look at who the Bible says is the true enemy. The Bible tells us that there’s more going on than meets the eye. It warns us not to get distracted by what’s on the surface, because the real battle is happening behind the scenes, in the spiritual realm. You see friends, we’re not just dealing with flesh and blood—we’re dealing with something much bigger, much darker. So in this sermon, we pull back the curtain and see who the real enemy is. And spoiler alert... it’s not Kamala Harris and it’s not Donald Trump.
