Are Tarot cards "MAGIC"?

I have read that Tarot cards can produce magic, given the perfect environment and experienced reader. Some authors in the past believed that Gypsies could tell fortunes and predict future events. Eastern cultures had Shamans who worked with hallucinogenic plants and mushrooms which allowed a deeper connection to their spirit world and communicated with symbolic figures whilst in a state of trance. Other south American cultures, especially those of the Amazon rainforest, also used hallucinogenic plants such as Ayahuasca, know as a 'plant teacher'. Kabbalist's in Judaism use the Tarot as part of their mystical traditions in receiving and learning the words of God (Ein Sof).
