This is the place where sports fans get a lot of data sports on your host. Can it be in? Join me on the show. We have Nick, Spike, Shelton and FIFA.
What up? What up? What up? What up?
Uh, all right, man. Um, not going to wait too much longer because, man, they're coming in hot. They're coming in spicy already. Uh, for those of you that got here a little early to catch some of the pre show talk while we were setting up, we are going to hop right into the show, man, starting with college football of all things.
Um, we did not get a chance to do our, um, post game analysis. I was out trying to survive in the wilderness in Trump countries, surrounded by people driving trucks with federated flags on it and 1776 tattoos. I'm here. So always well, um, you should get ready for what happens in Trump ways for can't use for paying the civil war.
I wanted to go. I was here. I'm out here with you. Not.
Don't shoot me. But, uh, but man, I did a Keith track, uh, in certain spots where I was able to actually get a signal. Um, I did see the score and, and yeah, this, this was a, this wasn't even close. Um, apparently, uh, prime tried to blame Obama and called Obama out, but that's me.
About as we realized, the kid way from back. Oh, man. So anyway, Deon Sanders and Colorado buffaloes dominated the Arizona Wildcats last Saturday on the road, went in 34 to seven Colorado was now five and two, which is their best record under Deon and the university's best in over four years. So is it time to give Deon his flowers after improving the Colorado Buffalo records to one plus win over last year?
You need to answer that question first. Why so let's go out with you. What do you guys want me to say? What flowers am I going to give him?
What? Why? Why do I do that? Because I was the one that said they should be better.
You guys were people around us were saying they were going to be trash. I was the one that was saying they should be able to get to a bowl game and they should at least win six to seven games. Is that correct? This year.
So my expectations, yeah, this year, my expectations for the year, you know, we're right where we are even though we're crazy. But you don't know the on especially coming. First of all, can you be hyper critical of the on when he left the HBCU to go to Colorado? He said he was playing the white man game.
You said he was trash. He said he was overrated and me and Spike, maybe Shelton could be false. What? Me me and Spike, maybe Shelton.
I can't remember on Shelton, but we were saying, Hey, look, it's year one. He don't have none of his guys. Hey, we know that the whole life be like was weak as hell. And we we we all say, Hey, look, we know he's part of the high train.
He's the best high coach, high entity in college football. But at the end of the day for him to get the wins that you thought that he should get because of the height that he has, it was going to take at least a year or two. Then flowers wilt it like a motherfucker last year when everybody early was talking about the, how great he was and praising him and he proceeded to lose the rest of the games of the damn season. So now he wins one more game this year and everybody won a praise him for improving as he should.
Are we not expecting the on to improve from last year to this year? Right? So why would you give him flowers? He also deserves credit for that to get why?
This is this job because he took no, because he took a bad program and his turn to the round number one, they were regardless of wins and losses. They were a viable, viable program last season, regardless of the wins and losses. They were selling merch. They were they were yes.
Yes. Who the hell was talking about Colorado before the again? But that lasted all of four in one record. No, everybody should know.
Everybody should be on. I maintain my expectation that they should be winning games and they're winning games. I don't think I should give them flowers for that, especially after this year, when it's as made in no bouncing. What do we what do we praise in the man for winning five games because he came and turned around a power organization from an HBCU with no coaching experience.
Like this is a school that went from no one cares about two over the last two years. One of the most popular teams in college football is all Dionne and he ain't got his players in there. Yeah. Like you said, kid, like he is lining up and making Colorado relevant week after week, after week for two years straight.
He needs like, I see the people in the chat saying, oh, a panel in the back, but doing what he's supposed to do. No, Colorado is a shit job. It would have been a shit job for anybody else except for Dionne. He went in there, turned it around.
And now they're in the news. Every answer questions, like all of their games on TV, he turned this program around. So if another coach came in with Shadoor and Travis Hunter, how do you think this program would perform? Depends on what the coach would do.
And they may perform well, but they wouldn't get the attention to Colorado gets. So which one is my win? So is it about attention? It's a little bit of both.
And then you got to know because the other coaches wouldn't be to get Travis. So we know that that's why it's a medical show. We try to evaluate the before. Like, that's why the reason why I asked is trying to assess like winning with talent.
That's part of the performance. The part of his job is recruiting and getting those the talent. They came from Jackson's day. What do you mean recruiting?
He brought them with him. He packaged them all the fuckers up in there, Louis Vuitton bag and who she and all this shit and brought him up here with him. He got Travis Hunter. He got Travis Hunter.
I can be the best player in the country in the last, what, five years? Three years. He got him at Jackson State. So to say that that deserves a lot of credit in itself.
Plus he followed him to Colorado. So he gets credit for that. He does be credit. I want you to get credit for five wins.
I'm not going to jump up with that right now, but he is above expectations. Even on this program, you can say that because when we're Nick talk, I told you Nick, I talked about him sweeping those games and he was like, he was done. So I didn't say it was done. I didn't say it was done.
I said, I said the game, the structured games that he had, he was like, he had to win those because the latter half of the second half of the schedule is getting hard. He got a play Cincinnati this weekend. So I don't know. You know, that's going to be win.
I'm going to see everybody count that as a dub. I'll tell you. I'm sure it's be whatever they shore, but our quarterback ain't no joke. You know what I'm saying?
We got we had some we could have brought back to what it is because football lost the Pittsburgh and Texas Tech. You said about all your teams. He does. All your teams.
You say, you know, it's even a mix after the night. First of all, we got 82 days, but next is the second half. But Ken is only one of those that Texas Tech Game, why it started my whole rail with without how much I hate kickers and college football and NFL. But I'm, I will say this.
Dion does deserve some credit for improving on last year, but at the same time, I think the job isn't done yet. And I think also his hype has stuck his hype. But you can't have it both ways with his hype. You can't be very boastful and tell people after going through, you know, some shit when he was in the press conference, everybody like, do you believe now?
You can't do that. And when you start losing, be like, all right, everybody on the press. Everybody is against me, especially in sports. People love to build your other to tell you down.
So like he was a part of that buildup. But five and two is impressive, regardless if they're not coming against ranked teams, just because of where the program has been over the last decade. But what's to me, I don't really look at Dion. I'm also look at Shador.
My, my thing was on Shador this season as far as like him and everybody saying he's the top, a top 10, top five should be them. The number one overall pick. And I'm like, hold on, pump the brakes. When we ever see the two years of his college career.
And I'm not just going to say that's a regular word, but as a black quarterback, when we ever see the black quarterback with only eight games in two season and be a top five quarterback, you know what I'm saying? Like in the drag way next up. We had a new way. So they say like drafting when a lot of games when he was in that person, I was a dog and Mrs.
City said, yeah, right? You know, right? They were ranked one year. The next year, all of a sudden, I used that because he was drafted late in the forefront.
So when we talk about players like that, we can't point to the keys. A kiwi Smith. Yeah. But I was working with Tony up in one year.
I was checking by your bingles. That was a great one. How long ago was that? How old was you in the house?
You said it never happened. I said it. I said it. I haven't seen it.
I wasn't a bingles fan at that point in time. He was outside of that. That's up for me. But for me, I haven't seen it.
Yes, we have tweets open doors is right. Anthony Richardson, but shoot, he might mess up. And he said, you can't do it for what a state. Oh, yeah.
Top five. Now, Anthony Richardson may be the exception, but at this point, that doesn't look like a good example to use anyway. I'm saying, you know, on top of that, you're not even talking about I'm congratulating him on his time. I don't want to take away from that point.
But also there is like he has to also be as talented as he is because Deion is a daddy and he's come with a lot of you know how GMs are and his coaches. They don't want they want to run the show and you coming in with all that type of shit that I don't know how that would affect his draft stock either. But I've been more impressed with the door of these games as far as I he's been able to handle coming back like comeback victories, losing his key players like Travis Hunter and still find ways to win or be competitive. That's impressive.
The most I'm not really looking at Deion. I expect him to increase. You got to win more than four games. Any football coach that's credible or that's respectable that we look at wins more than four games in their seat.
You know what I'm saying? Like that's why I was asking him. I'm like, I was asking him, I Lincoln Riley earlier this year because looking at see they don't they know I'm saying I keep it up being about everybody. You know what I'm saying?
Like I told you I'm out man of Nick this year. I'm taking we're gonna talk about a lot of head coaches tonight. So my thing is Cincinnati's up next is gonna be late game. Can I'm gonna stay up.
Oh, don't you want to take a nap? He's gonna watch the next. I'll watch the next day of the clock game. It's a 10-15.
Yeah, shit. That's a 10-15. Yeah, yeah, shit. I'm gonna watch it for sure.
But yeah, he has I mean the teams that I was looking at earlier this season were ranked but they're not ranked anymore like Utah and Oklahoma. Don't call us their quarterback. Yeah. So that's what I'm looking for.
Like at this point I'm looking at them like the you like Miami like they should really sweep the rest of this shit like there should be no competition. They should be bowl games should be definitely on their table and then maybe even the playoffs if they win. Oh, you're not a Miami? I'm a Miami.
I'm a Miami. Colorado. Colorado. No, but Miami.
I mean, you can't play all the way off. That's because the loss of losses. Exactly. The loss of losses.
Exactly. That was not a good loss. The K-State loss wasn't so bad but still you're gonna have one in two lost teams with better records to get in with better strength together. You have a three lost team from the SEC that may be better than Colorado.
Colorado would have had to win undefeated and dominated their better competition that they were playing against. They could have lost the game. They just would have had to. They could have lost the game but they would have had to have played.
They would have to win the big. I'm just saying they would have to win the big. They would have to win the big. That's what I'm saying.
They can win the big 12. Colorado can win and beat teams with the big 12 but these teams are not that good. They win the big 12. They get it automatically.
So playoffs? Yeah, you get it automatically. That's what I'm saying. They may actually have a shot.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm leaving to. That's what I'm like. If they sweep out the rest of this game and get it to the college football, that's the best thing for Deontis to get to the playoffs.
That's the biggest and brightest lights on the game. Talk shit. Talk shit but they get it so lapped. What do you get?
Well, it's like if you get that team to the playoffs, it don't matter what happens. Because then like, don't want to ever thought that he would go from four wins to the playoffs. You got BYU. They beat Kansas State.
I would say BYU. Kansas State beat them. Okay. Well, Kansas State is in front of them at three and one.
That's Texas, Texas, Cincinnati. Iowa State is foreign and BYU is foreign. So that's why the Cincinnati game is key. Yeah.
I think they beat them. No, they played them. Never played them. So they got to play Iowa State and they got to play BYU.
And they got to hold Kansas State and lose another game. And they got to quit. They don't play. They don't play.
I don't think they play either one of them. Yeah, they don't play the one. They play in Cincinnati, Texas, Utah, Kansas and Oklahoma State. They're not playing.
I would say BYU. You're going to go undefeated. I thought I was going to go undefeated. BYU.
You're going to defeat. They can beat them in the championship. I mean, I know championship. I'm with Nick.
They should win all the rest of those games. They should win. And I think Nick and I, you have been consistent. We were going through the schedule.
We were like they should beat them. They should beat them. That's why y'all should be patenting out on his back. No, we were going to do it.
I'm not expecting them to beat teams. When two to three years ago, before he got there, nobody gave up. Elphaba, Colorado. He's upgraded that program.
And it's two years being there. Regardless of his coach, he'll say, of his recruiting and what we say it is, how many games he won last year, what Colorado was before he got there and when he leaves, even if it's next year, it's going to be better off because he was. I know what I'm saying. Everybody's going to be leaving.
Nobody's going to be coming to Colorado. How is it going to be able to hire a better coach? They will be able to hire a better coach because of what he did there. Y'all really believe that?
Absolutely. He's made a viable kid. That's what I told you. I'm going to try it too.
I wouldn't think that would happen at all, especially with the transfer. I wouldn't think that would happen. I don't know. What's the odds going?
Why would you go to Colorado? Exactly. You a coach? Yeah, I don't know.
Because you're talking about players. We can't say. Okay. Either way.
I'm talking about coaching first before you get to the players. There is a coach out there that Colorado would not have been able to get before the Deon hire and the exposure that he's gotten. They're going to be able to get a better candidate of coaches because Deon was there. And what's that going to do for the program?
We were better because they're getting a better coach. They're going right back to the bottom. Go ahead, Shelton. I'm going to avoid this situation.
You don't want to follow a program like that with Deon there. If I'm a better coach than Deon, I'm definitely going to. It's a lot of coaches. If you follow me, I'm going to be the better coach.
It's about being a better recruiter and getting those players. Exactly. And those same players, they ain't going to Colorado if Deon is not there. The only thing that kind of what you said is I'm impressed with Deon because if you look at the whole team, you look at the defensive line, for example, they were weak on defense up until a few weeks ago.
Now, this defense is playing lights out. They only allowed like 100-yard rusher in these last four or five games. So the defense has stepped up and it ain't worn south. I keep on trying to get more than what I'm trying to give with this D.
I got with it because again, when we face real teams like Nebraska, they can say what to talk about. No, that's it. When they be up all when they play kid. You see, but you can't look at this schedule.
And if you recall, I told you I was like, they can win these next four. You said that they weren't going to be able to win those next four. I think they went three and one of those games. I didn't say that.
I told you the games that I said they were going to have to be iffy. And you were the one else trying to bring up. You see if it was going to be a problem. No, that's the only one.
I said, they should be Arizona. They should be Cincinnati. They're really good. They should be in the team.
And that was the thing. The only thing that I talked about that was like, I don't think they're going to beat them. It's like Oklahoma State Utah, those ranked teams that are facing in the second. I said the first half, they should get all their wins early because they may not get them later in the second half of the season.
And all that's changed because the dynamics of those teams have changed. And then he's probably going to go in possibly win those games and then people are going to over-hike everything that he's done because the quality of competition, those teams and their conferences falling down beyond able to win games. FIFA, what was that breaking news that you had before we moved to the next slide? I was just saying, I'll pick it real quick.
Nick, what's up with Joe Nix? Number one is getting relaxed. First game, first game of the season. We know what it's like to play your angry skin.
That's what it's like to play the mind and take it out. He's taking out the whole subroutos. Joe, they're saying that Dion is not a good recruiter. What?
Yeah, they're saying he's not a good recruiter. A couple people are saying they're saying they're saying they're not good. But he got the number one player to go to. Three years ago.
I understand. I ain't agree with this, I mean, I'm just saying the facts. Like they're saying that his recruiting class is in Colorado if not into it. Okay.
In comparison, obviously to Michigan and Ohio State and all of these other programs. But if you compare it to Colorado, what are you talking about night and day? Look, I don't know why I'm saying that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, listen, what I'm saying is he is a great recruiter.
But he's not going to be able to out recruit bigger programs. That's just a nature to gain. If he went to USC, oh, he didn't have body. But he's not going to get everybody Colorado.
He's doing the best he can based off of the program that he's at. All right. I think go ahead. Last point.
I was just going to say, Dionne Sanders is going to leave Colorado in a better situation than it started in before he got there. That's his job. That's ultimately his job. He's going to win games.
He's going to go to a bowl game. All this shit that y'all saying. And once he leaves, if it's this year, next year, Colorado is going to be a more prominent program than it was when he signed on the dotted line. And it's just a lot of money.
That's right. It's doos room. Doos sound like that nigga that's fucking with somebody mama. He gave the son all kinds of toys to Chris's all this stuff.
You got more than what she was going to give before I got here. And now I'm gone. That don't mean shit for the kid. It's just that you got to go.
It means it's Colorado. Nick, it means it's Colorado. Colorado was in the top. That was the worst team probably in division one football before Dionne got there.
Now they're going to be able to get a viable coach. They got a name recognition that they didn't have before Dionne got there. He brought them back from the dead. It wasn't good since the fucking night.
So what am I? Dionne did that. But that's what they made my fault that Jackson State couldn't do that. But Colorado is being a D1 school with more money and they should be able to capitalize off that.
You didn't have to buy it. They won't. I'm going to check. I'm going to check.
I'm going to check. What I will say is he's made them relevant. We can talk about all the other stuff too. He's made a real.
He's made a real. And all I'm asking is like how are we great? Because it seems like y'all grading Dionne on a curve. Because it's like how are we grading his success at this stage.
If it's not wins, if we're just going to give him a kind of a bet just for winning five potentially plus games in a season, then that's fine. We can have that conversation. But if you're talking about in the landscape of college football in general and coaching and doing and pushing the program forward, then that's a different conversation. That's why I'm judging him based off his peers in these.
He's in a big 12. So he's in a big power five conference. So I'm going to compare him to the other power five conferences. Yeah, I expect certain things out of him and especially because he has a name like Dionne Sanders and especially because his son is supposed to be a top five, top 10, where however you want to put it pig.
Yeah, I have expectations for that. And if you're below those expectations, you got to call that out. Now if you exceed those, like if he makes it to a bowl game wins a bowl game or even wins the conference, then yeah, he should get all the flowers he deserves. But for right now, he's doing good.
So, well, are two teams that play in the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers on the road 28 to 18 to improve to sits and Oh, after this loss of the Chiefs, is it safe to say that Kyle Shanahan missed his Super Bowl window? There are some other questions. I go ahead and put point those out there and I'll circle back to those to get answers if we don't get there.
But and also with the Chiefs going to feed the season and just a little stat statistical nugget for you guys. Kyle Shanahan and him with down by eight points at halftime is two and 20 and his career as a coach and it's all in five against the Chiefs in the regular season and playoffs. Yeah, man, is it over four to nine is broke. I don't know yet, Ken, but I will say this.
Go ahead. Well, have you seen the news that are you is out? Yeah. Yeah.
No, that was a it was a gruesome hit, especially in slow motion. You see it better like that. And his foot was planted too. So it was crazy.
But Ken, well, I realize, especially after this particular game, Kyle Shanahan is Mike D'Antoni and what I mean by that is he has a system and it has to work that way. And if it's if it's not that way is scripted in his head or whatever he uses, it ain't going to work. Doesn't mean that he's not a great coach. Doesn't mean that he's not innovative.
Doesn't mean that he you can't study him and learn from him. But what it means is that he's kind of stuck in his ways and he doesn't necessarily adjust going to that record that you talked about being down eight points, he's out to a 20, right? He doesn't adjust. He sticks to the same thing.
Conversely, we look at somebody like Andy Reed and it's like, okay, cool. I had this idea of doing this. Yeah, I'll show that down. Well, we go flipping Swiss and do whatever it is to get back on track.
Ken, I don't think that they've missed their, their Super Bowl window because they still have immense talent. We haven't seen their injuries be this bad in about three, almost three, four years now, but it is bad, right? Like D-Bo got pneumonia, I you can out for the rest of the year. McCaffee looks like he's going to be out for the whole year.
So all of your heavy hitters who Jennings, the other writers. Joanna Jennings is hurt. So it's not like the only star player that they have left right now is George Kittle. He got foot, foot spraying.
I got a conspiracy. Okay. But I'll say that for later. You go after people die.
So at the end of the day, I think that when healthy, they still a Super Bowl contender. They're not the favorite, especially not even in the NSE anymore. I think that's lions. And you know, I've been talking about the last three years, but it is what it is.
They still can win a championship, Ken. But you know what is going to come down to? How good is Brock Purdy? Because we always talk, this was the conversation about Brock Purdy.
You strip away all of the superstars around him. How good is he? He leads your team. And then this is the ultimate test.
So you're going to get back, people. Like I said, you got George Kittle. What can you do? What can you do?
Those are the two original 49ers. What can you do with those two guys right now? And if he is that guy, don't you think that's like a question that it doesn't really mean anything anymore anymore? Because he's a lot because because I thought this was a show you go because I'm about this is the other coach.
No, no, no, no. We see the thing is y'all going to start going back and forth and show the show. That's why I'm speaking. That's how I really see what it's going.
That question is unnecessary. It's not looking good. And I'll say that. The reason why I said it is Brock Purdy, you have to pay him coming up soon regardless of what happens.
That closing your window some and the fact that you got these guys injured, which we couldn't see, Matt, you know, he was a Panther for a long time. So his injuries, they'll say nothing new. It's just that he was healthy. They were lucky to have him as long as they had him without him being hurt.
So to say that, that was an anomaly for him to be straight. Same thing with D-Woe. D-Woe being hurt his own career. That's nothing new.
Are you going down? Still, you should have been way pretty much anybody's weapons that much and you're going to struggle some. But he was already kind of shaky property, I mean, going into the season. So I think that, you know, teams are catching up.
Good thing for them is they do have like a bi-week or a lay down game this week playing like a division two school. I mean, Calvo. The question was, what do you think about Calvo? No, no, it's the end of the Calvo.
It's saying it has the window closed. The window closed. The window is shut. It's not locked, but it's shut.
I think that window is closed. I think the other teams around the world make it a decision. It's shut, man. This game should help them roll in the right direction playing, you know, lay down games.
Growing up. Ooh, that's the issue. Lou, what you got to say? Hold on real quick.
Shut it. Would you not agree that most quarterbacks don't even have Debo and George Kittle on A-Roster? Like the equivalent talent of that? George Kittle is not the same to me.
He hasn't showed the same. He's a great blocker. Don't get me wrong. But as far as his past catch in a million, the stuff that he did that made him special that made us talk about him, he ain't done that in a while.
He's having a good year. He's having a decent year. But he's not having a good deal. George Kittle's having a good game change.
No, it's not. What we saw him doing a couple of years ago is not the same thing. And do you think you could name four better Titans than him? Yeah, Debo.
Debo is not a number one receiver. We don't know Debo was a Swiss Army knife. But Debo hadn't done anything special. What's the question?
What are we talking about? What's the question? What are we talking about? You all just say the same thing?
What has he done as number one where I received a word? Have you seen a statistician before you got hurt? No other team has a Debo. No other team.
Debo is a Swiss Army knife. No other team has that in the league. He's still number one. All right.
You all about that. You got to tell me what I had to say over again. You asked me what I had to say about this. Cauchyon hands window is not closed.
We don't give him enough leeway fee-fold Nick as far as the injuries he's had to deal with every year that he's been every year that he's been there. Whether it be his quarterback, his receivers, his running back this year, defensive players, every year they have to deal with tremendous injuries. And I know that's a part of football. Yes, you still can't knock what he's did with everything that he's been presented with since he's been a 49 coach.
I still believe in him as a coach. I don't know if Rock Purdy is that good. I have a back away a little bit from Glock because it looks like he does need all of the extra ammo that we were talking about. He needs Debo.
He needs our use. He needs all of those things. And all of them to excel is going to show a lot this week in Dallas if he's able to make anything happen against a depleted Cowboys defense shelter. We don't expect to come out there and just run the barn on Brock Purdy.
So if he's able to perform this week, then I mean he's doing his job. But we can't say the windows closed in San Francisco when we know injuries have played a part in every year, a major factor in every year that Shanahan has been in contention. So I take another way from Kyle Shanahan. I think the window is still open.
Well, you know, one last thing is the only reason I can't agree with you is because of the division, you know, that they play in. You still got the Seahawks, the Cardinals and the Rams. So insane that that's really the thing that they got there in a division that's still one of them. And Lou's trying to go here and play his damn violin for a team in the same division with LA Rams who got more injuries between them two.
They're about the same. And then I'm saying, who's the new? I think the night is that more injuries. My thing is this, bro.
Y'all know me always like, y'all be one of the players a lot. I also want to yell that coaches. Lou, things I have an issue with Kyle Shanahan, I just be honest about Kyle Shanahan and I'm not a man or new. Shelly told me that what's his name?
Jordan Mason was the top three running back in the league. Yeah, he's saying that they ain't got no players. And like, for as many players as they lost, they still got George Kayla. They still have Jordan Mason supposed to be a top three running back in the league.
If not one of them. Two league and running. Based off who Sheldon said. And they still have, well, I thought what their whole bread and butter wasn't really their offense.
It was their defense because Kyle Shanahan has gone through three different quarterbacks that he has picked to lead his team. And two or three have taken advantage of his robo floss. And one of them, he had a top three pick and one of them just didn't pan out. And no one talks about that.
That's like the lost child. No one ever talks about. What I'm talking about is not this over. I get your chance to talk Lou.
My thing is this, his window is closed because he last year when he was supposed to take accountability for that Vikings game, the same shit that we, that Lou Custer, Aaron Rodgers for throwing his people out of the bus, Kyle Shanahan did the same thing. He looks at the wheels when he said that you don't run that defense, even though Brock heard you through two picks in that game. He ended up firing Steve Wilkes who played a great game in the Super Bowl. As far as defensively, they just shit the bit offensively in the Super Bowl so where they couldn't score and take lead.
But for me, looking at this team, you give up 28 points to a Chiefs team who lost almost as many wide receivers as y'all did in that same game, who already had, who already throwing two, who was Patty throwing two? Patty, who I'm probably more rushing on is the Kareem. You know what I'm saying? So it's like, I don't want to hear that injury shit.
Because like you said, Lou, if Kyle Shanahan is supposed to be a top five, top three head coach in the league, he's up there with Andy Reed is what we're saying. Not saying that he's number one, but I'm saying he's in that tier supposed to be. Yeah, we, but we given all these excuses blaming, trying to blame Brock Hardy. When I told y'all a long time ago, I won't, I won't ever talk about Brock Hardy because he's irrelevant to him.
He's literally Mr. irrelevant. So trying to put blame on him saying that, oh, this quarterback who was pig lasting a draft is shit in the bed. He's like, all right, okay, well we talking about it.
I'll go, okay, I guess the Chiefs. I guess the double O'D offensive the league. I mean, I didn't expect him to be that bad, but at the same time, I'm not surprised because one of the 49ers in any iteration that Kyle Shanahan has coached him, being the Chiefs, being the Chiefs, you read the stack and they haven't. So I wanted to ask, I wanted to really talk to FIFA.
I would ask like, what's the difference between Kyle Shanahan, like how much of a difference between Kyle Shanahan and Zack Taylor, if we want to keep it a bean, because for as much shit as I can give Zack Taylor, especially this season and throughout that, he's at least proven, he could be the Chiefs in the regular season and would count. Yeah, however you want to put it. Now, if you want to say that's all because of Joe Burrell, whether or not you're not going back to that draft class, but I was talking about Lou, when he had a chance to pick his quarterback show, he had a top three, top four, pick. And we was all saying that, oh, if Kyle Shanahan had his quarterback, what is offensive, we could not do that.
Don't do that. Don't do that Lou because this is, that's his guy. Because you know Kyle Shanahan and you like Kyle Shanahan, then he'll talk. When you were with John Lynch, come and say, I'm the guy that I want to give him.
Kyle Shanahan gonna make you work. Because he thank you that goes to the arrogance that you're speaking of Kyle Shanahan. That's John Lynch's big. John Lynch picked him.
When I'm Kyle Shanahan was like, oh, you know what? I'm so good. I can't make it work. No, that's not him.
That's like, that's right. Look at that spike. That's why I want to say it. Come on, man.
That's why I want to go. That's why I want to go. I don't know what that happened. I want to go with Kyle Shanahan.
This is the guy that I'm saying based on. got it to go with the cow's shadam based off of arrogance. And I've seen that Nick always talks about cow's shadam. It was like, you know what?
I can make it work. If I made it work with Jimmy Garoppolo, I'm making it work with a Glock party. Yeah, I can make it work with this dude. Trey lands.
Okay. Hey, it's like, it's like you want to say how to really go. We got to build bonds business because because you got you got a lot of surplus right now. That's true.
Look, y'all put a lot of money on it. Look, at the end of the day, great coaches typically have a great communication with the GM when you have this level of success. Right. We're not talking about a cut rate, second tier or organization.
We're talking about an organization that has been to multiple subos. We're talking about an organization that has drafted predominantly well at every position, except, you know, if you want to say quarterback has been a bit shaky, but shit, how many how many organizations in the league really get it right outside of Green Bay? You know, like, like, let's be honest. Let's be honest.
At the end of the day, cow's head and hand in John Lynch are in lockstep. And that move to get Trey lands, they both agreed on that. Um, don't give me that chicken in the head. Right.
I'm not agreeing with it. I'm not. I've never seen that reported anyway. As far as I'm concerned, if I owned the 49ers and I was like, well, who is it?
Was it that's John Lynch's job? Y'all trying to put that on cash? Hey, guys. No, no, no, you just had the piece of the pie.
That's all is on. Is John Lynch still there? Yes. Yes.
He said, OK, um, I think it's over four to four to nine as I'm winning it. Um, before you said something, uh, they're playing differently this year than they have in the past. And I found interesting, like a lot of those green pass leads to running calls, you know, I'm not seeing a lot of those that used to be as bread and butter. Um, you know, I've watched them play throughout the year.
They're throwing the ball down the field a lot more than they used to. And this was, you know, this was when, uh, without the ball and all those stuff and they've managed to, um, somehow find a way to win games with the injuries. The problem with the Niners next spoke to us, the defense has an issue because they were unable to preserve two 10 point leads and they blew those games, which they can use those games right now. There are not a lot of quarterbacks in the NFL named Patrick Mahomes that can win without their players on the field.
It's just a given fact. Everybody's been watching the NFL for a very long time. There's Mahomes and I've seen Brady do it with Bellichette. And if anybody want to argue otherwise, then please explain or you can give me some other quarterbacks that have done that, but they're not a lot.
That being said, what I think is happening this year is that they have a contract to next year, potentially with Brock Purdy. And I think that they wanted to see everything that this guy got. Can this guy throw down the field? Can he, um, throw, because he asked a man of the office, it turns on some of the ends and outs, but can he do more?
Can he expand his game if we're going to give him 60 to $70 million? I'm like, there's no way in hell they're going to do it. And I think they were trying to see what else this guy got. Therefore, that's why the office looked like it has changed as much as they see what the hell happened in Dallas.
They see what happened with that guy pay that that. Yeah, it's not like he was in the best. I think that same person. Everything I won't even disagree.
So nothing is if both were MVP discussions, both kind of need whatever. That's that's all I'll discuss. My thing is before I pay this guy, what the fuck do I have? But my thing with that, Ken is like, again, Kyle Shanahan has also put his back against the wall as far as like he don't really have like what is it?
If he doesn't pay, he doesn't have to pay Brock this year. I think it's only he could pay him next year. Like next year's I think it's the last year of his exact contract. He could just pay him now.
I could be wrong on that. But either way, it's like what other choice does he have? He can't restart this whole thing. That's why everybody's old.
Everybody else on this roster is like either getting older, clearly, getting already injured. I think I think see my done period. Like I don't, I think him going to Germany for his knees and all that and the shit that they said I go so they came back. Like I think he done.
But I was, but I'm not going to say it until he, the report comes up. But I'm just saying like, I don't see what other option he has but to pay him. Now, if you're asking me, if you're saying like their evaluation is can you throw down a few, we already knew Brock Perry's limitations coming into the league. He ain't got the best arm.
He isn't the most athletic. He does make bad reads as we see him in the on Sunday. So it's like, what else are you really expecting? You don't pay him or not.
And I'll go back to my other point. My other point about comparing Kyle Shanahan and his exhaler isn't about them as a head. Like I know Kyle Shanahan is a much better coach than his exhaler. But what I'm saying is that it baffles me that he hasn't found at least one win in all the times he's played Kansas City.
Yeah, Zach Taylor and his squad, his team, whatever you want to have, you look at them, have found multiple wins either in the regular season. I only wanted to win. We had to find a problem. The bingles is actually a little bit.
Don't be trying to do this. He's not going to have a Joe Baro. And I'm saying you Lou, he could have a burrow. Put Joe Burrow on that.
He might have a squad. Whatever. Whatever. That's the brand.
Like so I'm not trying to. I'm not trying to make this bangles. I'm just saying like I'm going to put it out. I'm calling it out to say that that that that that that that Kyle Shanahan had multiple times in his iteration with the 49ers to either pick his quarterback or to develop his quarterback.
And either way, he can't win the big games. He should be that is the fact. And that's what we've seen. He's been to the Super Bowl twice.
He's lost it twice with the leads twice. This is who he is. He's doing the same thing in the regular season. The reason why when I look and see how they're playing and the different things that they're doing and why I'm I'm taking the approach that I'm taking is because the one thing that you said these players are getting older.
If we're going to pay this guy, then that means he is our guy. We got the tackle locked up. We got you whatever you all feel about him. He's there, right?
So now they have to replace all these other pieces. And if they're going to replace these other pieces, who is going to be the person leading the field? So what I'm thinking is John Lynch and Shanahan is like, if we're going to get this guy $60 million, are we able to just plug and play guys in? According to Shelton, they could do that with Jordan Mason because he's the top three running back.
But we see that was without CMC, you know, they lose a lot. They don't be like, sounds can it looks different. But at the end of the day, the zone read scheme that his dad didn't necessarily invent, but they're imperfected. And what Kyle Shanahan is doing, you can plug and play running.
I know we're saying a lot. We're moving from like 13. So, so, so you can see that difference maker. A hundred percent.
No, he's a superstar. And that's why it looks extremely dynamic with him in it versus, you know, what's his name? Shelton who? Mason, who do you want to make it?
Jordan Mason, you know, that you can still have the foundation of what that offense is, but it's not going to be over the top. You can't do everything that you can do with CMC. But at the end of the day, can the other the other pieces, right? Like they drafted who's the white boy Y receiver that got shot.
He just played his first. He's like, like, like he is going to replace D-Bo because D-Bo is not going to get read up. They just paid IU. Why you give that looks like this is the.
Yeah. It's going to replace D-Bo. I didn't listen to that. That's a receiver.
