Fr. Chris Alar,  reflects on the Parable of the Sower by emphasizing that the focus is not only on the seed, the Word of God; but even more on the condition of the soil, which represents our hearts. Good soil is cultivated not only through reading Scripture and prayer, but also through regular Confession, frequent Holy Communion, acts of charity, and a faithful sacramental life. When our hearts are properly formed, the Word of God produces visible fruits of love, holiness, and transformation.At the same time, Jesus' parable is one of encouragement. We should not become discouraged when we do not immediately see results from sharing the faith. Seeds often remain hidden for a long time before they sprout. Our task is to continue planting the seeds of God's Word with patience, trusting that He will bring about the harvest in His time.  ★ Support this podcast ★
