Are you a Canadian now? Doc's racing report. More Vrabel pics! Brian hates weddings.

from ROCK MORNINGS · host Brian Simpson

Hello, Friday! Cooling off a bit today & tomorrow before heading into the 70's on Sunday. Got a Pat McCurdy show tonight at the Alpine Inn and tomorrow it's the Between the Bluffs Beverages & Bites Festival at the Festgrounds! In the news this morning, a massive dead snake is dumped on the side of a highway in Iowa, a reclassification of marijuana, an investigation into the dead & missing scientists, and more pics of Mike Vrabel & Dianna Russini. In sports, the Brew Crew dropped another one to the Tigers yesterday, a look at the NBA & NHL Playoffs, a recap of the first round of the NFL Draft, and the Bucks seem to have found their new head coach. We talked about what's on TV this weekend and what's new in theaters. Plus, a glimpse at some of the new music coming out today. Elsewhere in sports, Wemby is traveling with the Spurs this weekend while trying to recover from his concussion, and Derrick White wins the NBA Sportsmanship award. Doc joined us just after 8am to talk NASCAR racing, courtesy of County Materials in Holmen & Eau Claire. Some rules have changed recently, and you may be a Canadian citizen now! If you're looking for a snack later this afternoon, today is "National Pigs in a Blanket Day". Maybe a tray of those in the oven? Cool story about a group of dads in Atlanta trying to encourage their kids to read more, and a wonderful story about a rooster that raised a bunch of money for a family in need in Alabama. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a #FloridaMan who assaulted a Subway employee, a nature festival that had to clarify that it's NOT a nudist festival, a woman in Texas who was mailing drugs to prison inmates hidden in bibles, a guy suspected of arson arrived at the police station for questioning with singed eyebrows, and a former "druggie" in NYC is suing Amazon for selling him whip-its.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
