Are You a People Pleaser? | Pleasing God | Acts 5:21b-32 | with Pastor Joshua Sanders

Pastor Joshua has a confession to make to you in this sermon... His confession is towards the beginning. It has to do with the fact that in our world, there is so much pressure to fit in. There is so much pressure to receive the applause of people. And with that, many of us have become accustomed to trying to please people and win the approval of others. But what we must realize is that living with an agenda to please people does not align with God’s purpose for us. Carrying the burden of trying to have everyone like us is not a cross that God intended for us to carry. And in this sermon, we dive into Acts 5:21-32. We will pick off right where we ended last week. We saw the Apostles put in prison, an angel released them, and then they went right back to publicly preaching the Gospel, which is what got them arrested in the first place. And what we will learn in this sermon is that as we GET AFTER IT for the expanding of the Kingdom of God, we must know that it is not our job to please people. Our aim must be to please God.
