Are You Afraid of Failure?

from Create with Elyse · host Elyse-Anne

42: The # 1 reason why most of fear failure isn't because we believe that we're not good enough or we're not ready. The reason is because we're ultimately afraid of rejection. If we're rejected that means we're being judged and as a result, people won't like us. So we rather stay small, fit in and dim our lights. Don't take any risks and be safe in our comfort zones. Yes although we'll be safe and we may go through life without any major upheavals, but will you be happy though? Will you be satisfied not knowing what your fullest potential and capabilities are? Aren't you slightly curious how far God can take you in life? Looking from the sidelines feeling jealous of what others have accomplished is an indication that you too are craving for that experience. You're in your own way.  Instead of being scared, be curious instead. In the space of curiosity, you cannot feel the fear. Like a child. A child is fearless because s/he is curious and everything is interesting. Perhaps you think there's too much to lose if you lose. Ok! So what do you really have to lose if you just take ONE tiny weeny step? If you don't try, the answer is always NO. Even if you tried and the answer is NO, at leas you know. Is it time to change the narrative in your head and take a leap of faith and see how far God can take you?
