Are You Aware?

I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning... so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught. Luke 1:3-4 niv Throughout Lukes account of the Gospel, his goal has been to bring certainty to those reading this work (Luke 1:1-4). Luke is a man of science, facts, answers. He knows hypotheses & how easy it is to disprove false or convenient ones. He also recognizes the magnitude of the claims of Jesus. So he interviews & investigates in great detail, double-triple checking sources - all to give us an account of Jesus life - death - resurrection that can be trusted. He wants to share Truth. He wants us to question, but he wants us to believe. Luke 24, on the road to Emmaus, is his summary - bringing in some of his major themes of his book. It is a wonderful, moving story. It is both a proclamation of the resurrection, and an explanation of the empty tomb. May we learn from this account what it means to walk with our Rabbi, Lord & Saviour, Jesus. And may we place our hesitations & skepticisms under the microscope of Lukes truth claims. May we walk in the Light.
