Are You Happy?

In recent conversations with some of my friends and colleagues, we started talking about happiness. More specifically, we were all asking, are we happy? It made me begin to wonder what does being happy mean and how do we know we are happy. So many things can affect how we show up in the world and I truly believe that, although we don't always have control over these outside forces, we can control how we show up and our own emotional state, which makes me believe once we know what makes us happy, we can achieve happiness.
