Are You Prepared For When Disaster Strikes?

from Why Are We Like This? Hosted by FisherCast

Just kidding. Everything is fine. Like it usually is... This week we're talking about Fear-Mongering in the Media. We've all heard it, or seen it, or read it. That little snippet of something intended to alarm us and ensure we "Tune In at 11" for the rest of the story. It's ridiculous, and Nomi's got a lot to say about it. The latest was this horrible, deadly, tragic, monstrous Hurricane Hilary that went to SoCal. Not only was it just another typical Summer rain for us, but the amount of time and energy that people wasted trying to scare each other in preparation for it was just plain stupid. Can we just fast-forward a little bit to 2024, have Marianne Williamson come and save us, and our country can stop being stupid and terrible to each other? That would be nice.
