Are You Prepared To Die For Christ

We should ask ourselves this very important question: Are we prepared to become a martyr? While most of us hope to pass on naturally, this question still lingers in our minds. Being faithful to Christ comes at a huge cost. Will you follow through with it? Consider the story of Stephen, the disciple from the New Testament. Imagine him kneeling, surrounded by angry religious leaders, their faces twisted with rage, as they hold rocks in their hands, ready to stone him. Despite the imminent danger, Stephen looks towards heaven, unwavering in his faith. As he looks into heaven, he sees the Glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. This scene shouldn't scare you, but if you are feeling fearful, I point you to a few of my favorite scriptures that calm me in the midst of the valley of the shadow of death.
