Are you really in a relationship?

from Conversations with Chris

All of us, both you and I, are pre-wired and long to be in healthy relationships. Unfortunately, we haven’t had a good working definition for “relationships” so it is often hard to tell whether we are really in a relationship or not. Even worse, because “relationships” aren’t healthily defined, it’s hard to tell if we are in a healthy or unhealthy relationship. Some definitions of a relationship include the way in which two or more people or things are connected, an emotional attachment between individuals, and the state of being related or interrelated. All relationships require some sort of connection and are always based on how we relate to the other. From the beginning of creation, God established that He was more than a Judge or King, He was identified as a Father and Creator. It doesn’t diminish the other roles that He’s identified as, but it indicates the priority and emphasis He places on those roles. In this season, God is allowing all of our relationships to be tested. The enemy is doing his job to ruin and sabotage Godly relationships. Let’s take the journey together and uncover… and unlock the key to having healthy relationships.
