Are You Sure That You're Saved?

The Scripture says in I John 5:13, “These things we write to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.”In today’s lesson, we are going to consider the question, “Are you sure?” We are not asking, “do you think?” or “what’s your best guess?” or “maybe?” But the Bible teaches we can be sure. Let’s look and make surethat we are right with God and that our salvation is sure. Welcome to our study of God’s Word. Today we are thinking about the subject of our confidence in our faithand the surety of our salvation. As we began with I John 5:13, the scriptures teach a person can be sure that they are saved. I think a lot of people wonder about their salvation. A lot of people question whether theyare really saved, or are kind of fuzzy on whether or not they are right with God. If we are following the Bible, and we are going by what the scriptures teach, the Word of God teaches us that a child of God, a person, can be sure about his salvation and about the way he is living his life.(The full transcript is available in the "Download Document" button above.)
