Are You the Messiah?

from HOPE Sermons Hosted by HOPE Church

Sunday Service: February 23, 2025 • Pastor Q Kim at HOPE Church in Clarksville, MD --- Pastor Q's sermon shared Peter's denial of Jesus, showing God's constant love and grace despite our mistakes. Luke learned about Jesus's arrest and Peter's actions from Peter himself. The sermon recounted Judas' betrayal and Jesus' calm during his arrest. Pastor Q discussed Peter's denial, highlighting his brave start but later fear leading him to deny Christ three times. He related this to our own feelings of shame and the need for repentance, contrasting Peter's return to Jesus with Judas' despair. The main message was that everyone can fail, but Jesus never fails us. He illustrated this with Jesus restoring Peter after the resurrection, asking, "Do you love me?" Pastor Q encouraged us to reflect on how we might deny Jesus in our daily lives and to live our faith openly. Only God's grace can heal our faults and failures.
