Primitive reflexes are a window into neurodevelopment, so it’s a great idea to assess them during your functional brain-based exam. But I see a lot of doctors using this in practice incorrectly. This is the 2nd part of the brain-based exam (see the last video for part 1!), and here’s what you SHOULD be doing when you find unintegrated primitive reflexes on your exam.  Remember, including assessments of primitive reflexes, eye movements, and gross motor/fine motor does not take you away from principled Chiropractic. It helps you become more informed about how Chiropractic impacts the ENTIRE individual and the way that people are engaging, learning, and connecting with their world.
