Are You Walking in the Dark?  Understanding Life by Jesus, the Fulfillment of the Temple’s Lampstand | Teaching from the Gospel of John

Are you walking in spiritual darkness? In this expositional teaching from John 2, we explore how Jesus fulfills the symbolism of the Temple’s lampstand who gives His people an understanding of life. Drawing from the Gospel of John and biblical theology, this lesson shows how the Old Testament temple pointed forward to Christ—and how understanding Him changes the way we understand everything. In the tabernacle and temple, the golden lampstand symbolized specific benefits of God to His covenant people. And in John’s Gospel, Jesus presents Himself as the ultimate fulfillment of that imagery. What does it mean that Christ is the Light of the World?  How is He what the temple’s lampstand reminded God’s Old-Testament people of?  This teaching unpacks the theological depth of John’s Gospel with careful exposition rooted in Scripture. If you are seeking deeper biblical understanding, Reformed theology, and Christ-centered teaching, this study will help you see how all of Scripture points to Jesus.Topics covered:Jesus as the fulfillment of the TempleThe meaning of the lampstand in the Old TestamentBiblical theology in the Gospel of JohnLight and darkness in ScriptureChrist-centered interpretation of the BibleHere’s the video @ https://youtu.be/67TLBNeHqJg See other resources and teaching @ https://www.christchurchclayton.org/mediaWatch other sermons in the Gospel of John series @ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLm8Dt3kxWQ8RVudN3VOk1teh6thzyAuJD#JesusTheLight#LightOfTheWorld#John2#GospelOfJohn#ReformedTheology#PresbyterianChurch#PCA#BiblicalTheology#ChristTheTemple#ExpositoryPreaching#SolaScriptura#ChristianSermon#Evangelical#Lampstand#OldTestamentFulfilled#ChristCentered#BibleTeaching#UnderstandingLife#ChristianWorldview#WildernessWandering #JohnMusgrave #ChristChurchOfClaytonNC  #TheGospelForLiving
