Arise, Beloveds!
from Yass, Jesus! Hosted by Yass, Jesus!
Did you know that June 30th is officially Queer Youth of Faith Day?! Our friends at Beloved Arise are sponsoring this special episode to kick off Pride Month, featuring top runners of their essay contest asking the questions: How has your faith shaped you as a person and helped you in hard times? How have others challenged your faith and/or identity, and how did you persevere? Of all the essays submitted, Beloved Arise will select five finalists to get $10,000 in academic scholarships! Beloved Arise is multi-faith, sending messages of love, affirmation, and blessing to youth who are not just Christian. They also do work in mental health, the arts, storytelling…anything that will send the message that queer youth are divine, beloved, and blessed. Check them out at www.belovedarise.org and #QYFday. Yass, Jesus! is hosted by Danny Franzese and Azariah Southworth. Our producers are Ross Murray and Meredith Paulley. Sound, music, and post-production by Chris Heckman.
