Aristopia A Romance-History of the New World - Castello Newton Holford

"Aristopia: A Romance-History of the New World" by Castello Newton Holford presents a thought-provoking alternative history of North America, envisioning a society shaped by the altruistic vision of its founder, Ralph Morton. Published in 1895, this work stands out as the first novel-length example of its genre, crafted in the style of unvarnished history. Holford explores how the continent's vast resources could have been harnessed to uplift the impoverished masses of Europe rather than enriching a select few, a theme that resonates with ongoing discussions about wealth distribution and social equity.
