Arizona Bills Aim to Strengthen Support for Families of Fallen First Responders

SB 1135, sponsored by Senator David Gowan, would increase the burial expense benefit under Arizona workers’ compensation death benefits from ,000 to ,000. The measure passed the Senate 25-2-3 and was approved by the House Government Committee. SB 1136 addresses workers’ compensation death benefits for surviving spouses and provisions related to remarriage.
