Arizona Cardinals Jeremiyah Love and Carson Beck Highlight Top Storylines of Rest of Offseason

Alex Clancy breaks down the top storylines facing the Arizona Cardinals between minicamp and the start of training camp. He argues that Jeremiyah Love is the most important offensive storyline—not because of his draft position, but due to his central role in Michael LaFleur's new offense and the potential impact on the team's identity. Alex Clancy analyzes how Love’s usage in both the run and pass game will signal the direction of the offense, and explores the importance of Tyler Allgeier as a complementary piece. Defensively, Alex Clancy highlights the DB group—featuring Will Johnson, Denzel Burke, Budda Baker, and others—as the potential saving grace given the relative lack of upgrades to the pass rush. He discusses the influence of new defensive coach Terrell Austin and what the development of this young secondary means for the Cardinals in 2026. Lastly, Alex Clancy tackles the quarterback situation, focusing on Carson Beck’s place on the depth chart, Jacoby Brissett’s hold on the starting role, and Gardner Minshew’s likely position. He details the ripple effects each QB could have on the team’s future, and why the conversation around Beck—while compelling—may not carry as much weight as fans hope unless the season spirals or the depth chart drastically shifts. The episode features in-depth analysis, reflection on last season’s lessons, and a look ahead to the foundational decisions shaping the Cardinals' rebuild. Let's discuss.
