Arizona Wildcats Eye Bowl Bid | Arizona Wildcats Football News

Arizona Wildcats roar into the season with a dominant 35-7 win over Northern Arizona, showcasing a powerful run game and stifling defense. Now they face a stiff test against No. 14 BYU, who crushed Utah Tech in their opener. With a 9-4 record last year and a Holiday Bowl loss, Arizona hasn’t won one since 2015 — except for that Alamo Bowl triumph before their coach jumped to Washington. Expectations are high: they’re predicted to make another bowl, possibly facing Maryland in the First Responder Bowl on Jan. 2 — a venue with Big 12 ties but no recent Big 12 presence. Maryland’s also off to a hot start, set to battle UConn this weekend. Veteran QB Noah Fifita leads a strong offense, making an 8-win season and bowl berth look likely — though the looming question is whether key players will skip the bowl to prep for the NFL, potentially dimming some spotlight but spotlighting new talent anyway.
