Arizona Wildcats Face FCS Challenge | Arizona Wildcats Football News

Arizona kicks off their third season under Coach Brennan this Saturday against Northern Arizona in a matchup with major implications. The Wildcats, boasting a dominant 17-2 record in previous meetings, are heavy favorites — but they’re not without scars, having lost to NAU back in 2021 during a rough stretch. Northern Arizona, now 1-0 after a stunning comeback win over Eastern Washington, is led by coach Brian Wright and loaded with preseason All-Big Sky talent. Quarterback Noah Fifita, who threw for 3K yards and 29 TDs last year, looks poised for another breakout season despite losing key receivers — with familiar faces ready to step up. Meanwhile, Arizona’s secondary, depleted by NFL departures, needs to gel fast — and this FCS showdown offers the perfect proving ground. Kickoff is at 7:30 PM MT, and you can stream it on ESPN+.
