Army Recruiting in the Classroom

We go to Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood to meet recruiters who speak to families and potential volunteers about joining the Army. The Army also recruits in high schools across the country. In fact, the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 tied federal funding to recruiters' access to these schools. We talk to two recruiters about the pros and cons of this type of work. And then, producer Julia Alsop talks with counter-recruiters.
