He walks us through being a brand-new soldier in Afghanistan and getting shot at for the very first time. The contact was coming from outside of Edgar’s sectors of fire, yet Edgar decided to shoot back anyways. In doing so he received a master class on sectors of fire along with his platoon’s first Combat Infantry Badge.
