A bill that could dissolve the city of Vernon and merge it with Los Angeles County has drawn hundreds of protestors at City Hall today. Recent coverage by the LA Times has raised questions about how the city’s community college district handles construction funds, so we visit the site of one of the projects - only to find a startling waste of mismanaged public money. In preparation for next week’s election, tune in to hear what four hopeful candidates for city council would do to change our communities. Two organizations in South LA received a federal grant as part of the YouthBuild competition, and we announce the winners.
