King-Harbor Hospital is one step closer to reopening. A local billionaire is offering a $100 million guaranty to underwrite L.A. County’s proposal to reopen Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital by 2012. Hear from the donor and local experts on what they hope for the future of the hospital. Also, we take a look at the three candidates interviewing to be chief of the Los Angeles Police Department. Listen to what a Los Angeles Times reporter has to say about the candidates and their chances to be the next head of the department. Host Brittany Knotts talks to Tony Fabian about his film, “SKIN,” based on the true life story of Sandra Laing, a black child born in the 1950s to white Afrikaners who were unaware of their black ancestry in Apartheid South Africa.
