This week's spotlight is on the American Legion Post 66 for Around the Cracker BarrelSpecial Guest this week are Past Commander of the American Legion Post 66 John Dale and Current Food and Beverage Manager and Sons of the American Legion Commander Tom Lapadat. Talking with Guy Atchley we can find out more about the American Legion Post 66, when it was founded, and all of the great things that they do for our community and for our veterans. Both share the story of wearing Red on Friday's representing those serving.  Scholarships are also part of the discussion and how they are applied. Also discussed are the hours open as well as some of the food specialties including Breakfast in a Bag. What is a typical day at the American Legion Post? From Lunches to Evening Activities, there is always something happening. The American Veterans Traveling Tribute will be visiting the Post 66 on October 5th and 6th, John and Tom tells us about the logistics behind this. There is also a Veteran Benefits Coordinator which can help Veterans aquire benefits. The American Legion itself has done much work for Veterans including the GI Bill.
