The trio shared laughs and memories while previewing the upcoming event, which brings together dozens of exhibitors, local health providers, and restaurants for a day of community connection. With free admission, free food, and free parking, the Info Fair remains one of Southern Arizona’s most anticipated gatherings for seniors and boomers alike.Chet and Deanna explained how the fair began decades ago under former KGVY owner Larry Nelson as a way to connect residents with local businesses, medical resources, and service organizations. Over the years, it has grown to feature 54 exhibitors offering health screenings, wellness advice, and community information. Guests can receive free glaucoma and vision checks, skin cancer screenings, blood pressure tests, glucose readings, and even flu and COVID vaccinations. Health-oriented co-sponsors such as United Community Health Center, Northwest Hospital, TMC Health Cancer Center, and Origin Orthopedics play a major role in making the fair a success.Beyond the medical offerings, the Walkers highlighted the variety of local businesses participating — from home improvement companies and financial advisors to community service organizations like Valley Assistance Services, SAV, and Friends Indeed. The event also includes food donations to support local food banks, helping those affected by reduced federal aid.
