Around the Mountain

Maela discovers the brutal truth about Ness's class system while hauling crates in the warehouse district. When she questions why powerful magicians don't use their abilities for mundane labor, her supervisor reveals a society divided between those who wear red robes and those considered mere dirt beneath them. But the warehouse holds more than philosophical revelations—heavily guarded luxury goods destined for unknown recipients, and whispers of a rare shipment arriving from the legendary city of Kallisto, a place so distant and dangerous that years pass between deliveries.
