In the 72nd episode of Around The Waves on KCOU 88.1 FM, Luca Vitale, Ben Schmidt, and Ryan Waelterman begin the day with a farewell/tribute to Ryan as he graduates from the University of Missouri this weekend. The crew begins the day with a Mizzou football preview as it has been a busy week for the program from acquiring its first transfer portal commitment in wide receiver Theo Wease Jr. to saying goodbye to players like offensive tackle Hyrin White as they found new homes for next season. It has been announced three Mizzou seniors had announced their plans to sit out the Gasparilla Bowl to shift their focus to the NFL Draft – Isaiah McGuire, D.J. Coleman, and Martez Manuel. 9 players have entered the transfer portal since the regular-season finale against Arkansas. Yesterday, Mizzou's quarterback's coach left the program for the offensive coordinator job at Boise State and cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine will return to Mizzou next season. The crew debates which regular-season backup is primed for a huge game against Wake Forest. Next, Around The Waves previews Mizzou Women's and Men's Basketball. Mizzou women's basketball improved to 11-1 for the 6th time in program history. The Tigers conclude their non-conference schedule on Sunday in a Braggin' Rights showdown against Illinois at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 CT. Mizzou men's basketball looks to bounce back against UCF on Saturday after losing by 28 against Kansas. Tip-off is scheduled for 11:00 CT.
