Arouse joy in others

“Arouse joy in others.” For me, this is such a helpful, inspiring mantra to live by.It comes from a passage in A Course in Miracles discussing why we don’t consistently experience happiness. The Course goes on to say, “It seems to you that the Holy Spirit does not produce joy consistently in you only because you do not consistently arouse joy in others.”I think about how often I am looking for something in another person - a particular need or desire - at the expense of channeling joy to them.When we are aligned with the mind of love, we automatically spark joy in others - which, of course, increases our own sense of happiness.So the next time we catch ourselves in a state of sadness, let’s consider how we can arouse joy in someone else.Support the show
