Arrested For Knocking On His Molester's Door, with Film Creator and Childhood Trauma Survivor Jeremy Indika

Anu Verma interviews Jeremy Indika whose mission is to raise awareness for child sexual abuse by sharing his personal story and also making content that discusses the subject openly. When Jeremy turned 24, he started having severe bouts of sadness that seemed to come out of nowhere. They would leave him feeling low and upset. He was confused, asking himself, “What was going on? Why was this happening?”. As time passed, these episodes started lasting hours, and they came coupled with memories from his past. They were memories of when he was a young 8-year-old boy, he was groomed and molested by a trusted adult for 2 years.He spoke out for the first time to a close friend when he was 27-years-old, which was just short of 20 years after the abuse happened. As soon as he did this, he felt an incredible lift, like he had achieved something great. It encouraged him to continue sharing his story, one person at a time. As the years went on, he could feel himself growing in confidence. It was a fantastic feeling, and to add to this, as the confidence grew, the fear of what other people may think was reducing.Jeremy is now using his creativity with film, animation and illustration in an attempt to capture the attention of the viewer.
