Po viacerých neúspechoch, ostrých kritikách, rozpačitých reakciách a po šiestich dokončených symfóniách sa šesťdesiatročný Anton Bruckner dočkal zaslúženého úspechu vo Viedni i v zahraničí. Priniesla mu ho Siedma symfónia E dur. Paralelne s ňou komponoval aj Te Deum pre sóla, zbor a orchester. Siedmu symfóniu si vypočujeme v podaní Mníchovskej filharmónie so Sergiu Celibidachem a Te Deum s Berlínskymi filharmonikmi a Herbertom von Karajanom. Reláciu pripravil Peter Zagar
