V 20. storočí vzniklo niekoľko dôležitých kompozícií, ktorých priamou inšpiráciou boli hrôzy Druhej svetovej vojny. V prvej časti si vypočujeme niekoľko zahraničných inšpirácii (Martinů, Honegger, Britten). V druhej časti to zasa budú diela slovenských skladateľova a interpretov (Ilja Zeljenka: Osvienčim, Dezider Kardoš: 7. symfónia, Marián Varga: Anti-War Requiem).
