V Bystrici študoval na gymnáziu a v teologickom seminári, po štúdiách bol prebendátom katedrálneho chrámu. Hostkou Ars muziky bude dlhoročná pracovníčka Literárneho a hudobného múzea v Banskej Bystrici, muzikologička Marianna Bárdiová, ktorá sa životu a dielu Jána Levoslava Bellu venovala.
