Art, Acid and Anarchy with Ian Swordy
from It's All Bad · host It's All Bad
Episode 57. This week we have a very different picture of New York. Ian Swordy escaped his wasp-y, Long Island upbringing in pursuit of punk rock, partying and political anarchy in the late 90s/early aughts. And while everyone around him got their legs snapped along the way, Ian seemed to coast through it all on a plate of blueberry pancakes and a message from God. That is until the message ran out. Ian eventually found himself alone, broke and wasted, waiting for someone who was never coming back. Today Ian—an artist—is 2 years sober and works un-ironically at a craft brewery in Bushwick. He has a new book out which you purchase from his site (below) along with his sculptures.
