Art inspired by the South Downs Competition closes on 28 August
from Petersfield's Shine Radio · host Petersfield's Shine Radio
"The South Downs Open is an opportunity to celebrate the rich creativity that thrives across the region. We invite artists to share their connection to the South Downs—whether through the landscape itself, its history, daily life in the region, or memories of time spent here" Louise Weller, Head of Collections and Exhibitions, at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery speaks to Mike Waddington about the competition which closes for entries on 28 August. There are over 250 entries so far but still time to submit - more entries from under 18s are also very welcome. The Judges are Louise herself, 2024's winner Sara Lee and Andrew Plaistowe, a local artist who was on the Great Pottery Throwdown. Selected works will be exhibited from 10 October See: Call to Artists for the South Downs Open 2026 | Petersfield Museum See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
