Art Talk - Basketry: from inspiration to creation

This event was held in CMR1 Ruth Salter’s basketwork featured in the Art Walk last summer, under the trees in the copse and she ran a workshop which proved very popular. Now she’s back and this talk will cover the use of design principles for researching a theme and developing ideas, the application of basketry techniques and the use of a variety of materials from natural materials to recycled materials to produce the final basket or sculptural form.
