Mic Mann is the CO-CEO of SingularityU South Africa, the SA Chapter of Singularity University (SU). SU focuses on global learning and innovation communities aiming to use the exponential growth of technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), to address the world’s most pressing problems. SingularityU South Africa takes that mission to a local stage with the mission of building an empowered network of globally connected change makers across the African continent who are able to implement solutions to the most serious continental challenges. It runs custom education, innovation and impact programs that help others leverage rapid accelerating technologies in innovative ways to unlock solutions that could change the fortunes of the African population.Mic completed his honours at AFDA, the African Film Drama Art academy, before joining his family’s business, the award winning Mann Made, where he worked for over twenty years in media, marketing and events. In 2016, he attended the Singularity University Executive Program in Silicon Valley before founding SingularityU South Africa.  A storyteller, futurist, entrepreneur and public speaker, Mic is on a mission to #futureproofAfrica, meaning an Africa that benefits if not even leads the Fourth Industrial Revolution instead of being left behind in a tornado of technological destruction.
