Artist Blacksmith with Don Asbee

from Glocal News in Social Artistry · host Dick Dalton

Don Asbee dropped out of college and drove from the east coast to Montana to begin his formal introduction to Blacksmithing by learning to make and apply horseshoes. He and his former wife joined the 'back to the land' movement and settled in Bland Missouri to raise a family and build a career in Blacksmithing from scratch, sometimes requiring multiple other kinds of work. They moved closer to Hartsburg in the 80s where Don repurposed an old metal building into his shop and living quarters. He's a friend of KOPN and an asset to our community.  ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
