Artist Spotlight: Tom Odell - Jamie & Ollie's Tom Odell Memories & Music Discussion

What happens when a 12-year-old introduces his dad to an artist who ends up defining their father-son bond for over a decade? This week on a special Artist Spotlight episode of The Friday Vinyl Club Podcast, Jamie is joined by his son Ollie to celebrate the music, memories, and live shows of singer-songwriter Tom Odell. From flipping the script in 2013 with "Another Love" to catching Tom live at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena in 2025, Jamie and Ollie reflect on how Tom's songs have marked the chapters of their lives. They share unforgettable stories—including a Ferris Bueller moment busting Ollie out of school for a London launch, curating a 100-fan charity photo book presented to Tom at the Roundhouse, and an improvised song about a Leeds burger menu. Plus, by unanimous decision, they cheat and welcome TWO Tom Odell records into the club!
