ARTSPEAK RADIO presents, Artist Jim Ramirez, Writer Danna York, & Singer/songwriter Tim York

Jim Ramirez was born and raised in KCMO. He began a 34 year career at Hallmark Cards as a designer, working in a variety of disciplines. He designed packaging, developed new product, and was awarded 4 United States Patents, and designed humor greeting cards. He also has a U.S. patent on a Christmas cap called, “Santa’s Ho! Ho! Hat!” that has sold all over the world, and appeared on The Today Show, and Late Night with David Letterman. In 2010, he published a book titled: “Where I’m Supposed To Belong,” about a 3-week trip he took to Europe. Jim creates fine art, and currently has an assemblage art show titled: foundArtNEWYORK at 2010 Gallery in the crossroads at 2010 Main, KCMO. Every object in each piece of foundArtNEWYORK was found in one of the five boroughs of New York. flea markets, street fairs, antique shops, thrift stores. Wood that makes up the frames were found in the Calvary Cemetery in Queens or under the Brooklyn Bridge.
