Listeners, staff, colleagues, community and the entire world are grateful for your superpowers!! ARTSPEAK RADIO invited four musicans/performers/writers and poets to contribute original work for today’s program, “Word To My Mother.” Inspired by Mother’s Day, contributors were asked to share a love letter, a memory, gratitude, or an observation as it relates to Mother and their definition of the term. Often Mother is defined as a woman in relation to her child or children, other definitions may include Mother Earth, mother of invention, Mother Teresa, individuals who identify theirself as Mother/Father, or Mother used as noun or adjective. Today we’ll hear from musician/singer/songwriters Heath Church and Miki P., poet/community activist Miguel Morales, and spoken word artist/author Jessica Ayala. We'll also hear a specially written song or selected music by each contributor following their work.
