A's GM Search Heats Up | Oakland Athletics News

The Oakland A’s are racing to name a new GM after firing David Forst, with interim leader Dan Feinstein holding things together while they search. James Click, architect of the Astros’ World Series win, is a top name, but the field is expanding — Mike Rizzo, known for leading the Nationals to their first title but also through rebuilding struggles, and Billy Owens, a longtime A’s insider who served as Forst’s right-hand man, are now in the mix. With a potential hire looming before the season ends, the clock is ticking — and whoever steps in will inherit a franchise poised for its Las Vegas debut, making this one of the most pivotal hires in recent memory.
