As Good As It Gets (1997)
from Trilogy in Theory
Jack plus any other two equals a good time. Even if the character Mr. Nicholson is playing is racist, homophobic, sexist and any other cancellable offense. The thing is though... he was offensive in 1997! But he's Jack Nicholson! Which excuses a lot. (Disclaimer: but not everything.) Since we are not Jack we have to work a little harder to out-charm this classic from James L. Brooks WITHOUT using the cheat of an adorable dog and multiple grand gesture monologues. Although this being a movie podcast... there's already some monologuing. Charming!
