After meeting the young woman who would become his wife, he became an EMS (Emergency Medical Services) professional, then he and his wife formed a non-profit to help veterans and homeless people in many ways, including helping people get insurance and food and Christmas toys. “We did a lot, giving back to the community.”From his website, “Ronnie was elected to the District Education Council (School Board) in New York City and as a Vice-President of the Parent Teacher Association,” volunteer positions, as was his time as a music teacher. Ronnie has also been a Youth Football coach.In Florida, he joined law enforcement to prove that not all cops are bad. In his 10-year career, “I never pepper-sprayed anybody. I never tased anybody. I never shot anybody. I talked.” He saw bad behavior driven by underlying issues and problems that could be greatly helped by better government, by more affordable living and better healthcare.
