Asclepius: Nag Hammadi - Lecture 2
from Hermetic Tradition: Osiris to Franklin Hosted by Roger Weir
In this presentation, Roger explores the profound distinction between data and true wisdom, revealing how spiritual insight requires an intuitive grasp of what lies beneath the surface rather than what is plainly presented. Drawing on Gospel of Matthew, the teachings of Jesus Christ, and the Hermetic texts like the Asclepius and Nag Hammadi Library, it uncovers the meaning of the “monasteria” as an inner crucible of transformation where divine communion occurs in secrecy. Through the voice of Hermes Trismegistus, Roger reveals a radical vision of humanity’s role: as the only bridge between matter and the divine, capable of awakening the soul through gnosis. Blending Hermetic philosophy, early Christianity, and insights from Plotinus, this presentation challenges conventional religious interpretations and points toward a lost tradition of inner transformation that remains urgently relevant today.
