Ásgeir (2023)
from FaceCulture: Giving You The People Behind The Music · host FaceCulture
Ásgeir Trausti Einarsson is an Icelandic singer-songwriter whose intimate and soulful folk songs, combined with electronic elements, has made quite a few waves. His debut album Dýrð í dauðaþögn (2012) was huge in his native Iceland, where it is said one in ten owned his album. After translating the album into English on 'In The Silence' (2014) the rest of the world quickly followed suit. His most recent album is a lo-fi reworking of the 'Time On My Hands' album (2022), an attempt to strip back some of his songs and not rely on heavy production to make a song. We spoke about stripping songs back, his home studio, always coming up with new ideas, Snowblind, already working on new music, and a lot more!
